Yes, Almanac is and will be free to play forever. We believe this knowledge should be universally accessible. While you can optionally purchase a premium subscription to enhance your experience with extra features, it is never necessary to access the core learning tracks.

Kids can start using Almanac as soon as they can read. Our core science and logic tracks—what we call The Causal Web—are specifically designed to act as an elementary school guide and companion. Best of all, our AI tutor dynamically adapts its vocabulary, tone, and examples depending on the exact age of the user.

Not at all. Everything happens securely in the background. You don't need a wallet or any technical knowledge; you can simply treat your earned collectible certificates as permanent, tamper-proof proof of your progress.

Right now, your certificates are 'soulbound'—meaning they are permanently tied to your profile as proof of your specific effort. However, we are building something very exciting: soon, you will be able to unlock the tradeable component of these certificates. To keep the ecosystem secure, the only way to enable trading will be to complete a simple identity verification (or through a guardian's verification for younger learners).

We constrain the AI to our 14 rigorously verified curriculums and trusted sources. It acts strictly as a tutor—explaining concepts, telling stories, and testing your knowledge—and is restricted from freestyling as a general chatbot or pulling unverified information from the open web.
